Dentist today! On the plus side, apart from having developed an unfortunate jaw-clenching tendency (must figure out how to stop that!), my teeth are perfectly fine as far as hygiene etc goes!

On the downside, two problem areas have come due, so I've still gotta get a couple of fillings. :/ One of them is itty-bitty, to the tune of 'a toothbrush can't get in there', and the other one is 'whoever did this filling didn't go over the edges so there was a tiny gap all around and now it needs cleaning out and re-sealing'. SIGH.

On the one hand, all my brushing and flossing is doing good! I am pleased! On the other, uuuuugh the inevitable decay of all things sucks and I hate it.

Other than that, did cut out the pieces for covering the blanket today! Ran out of brain for actually sewing them together, though. Bleh. Tomorrow! Also testing stuff needs to be tomorrow, too. Yes. >:

Soooo my new year's wish of "no one I know getting Serious Medical Bullshit this year" has... not come true. :( :( :(

Other than that... didn't get any ironing done, because I was helping Mama fill up the green bin outside, and came back in with a headache. :/ Been drinking lots of water and not doing anything strenuous, but it didn't fix it - Mama's thinking it might be a minor pollen/allergy-related thing, which given it's the middle of spring doesn't sound unlikely at all. XD;; Anyway, probably should have had a nap instead of quiet time, but I probably woulda lost the light either way so I guess it doesn't matter. Tomorrow!

I DID work on my sock knitting for the first time in a bit, and I think I'm getting close to where I'll start the band. The pattern doesn't give a length, so I'mma check against a similar sock in the morning - it's currently drying in the room next to my parents', so I'm not gonna risk waking Mama up over it. Still, hopefully I can start on the band soon! Then I just need to make another sock! (And I will probably never make a magic loop toe-up sock ever again because w o w is the magic loop tedious as hell. Might try it on DPNs now that I have a better idea of how it works though...)

No matter how we look at the problem, I'm gonna have to quilt my summerweight blanket to fix it. Ugh. It's gonna take SO LONG, I was hoping I could get by with something slightly less work but nope. Quilting it is. :(

Anyway, other than that, went to the shops with Mama - I needed to get one of those stupid dye tags taken off the undies I bought like a month ago, because it never even occurred to me they'd put one on UNDERWEAR - which was. A lot. So many people, ugh. Also one of the stupid makeup stores was spewing out some kind of gross chemical that gave both of us headaches and sore eyes. (I'm guessing nailpolish remover, but not sure. Only walked past as quickly as possible, and yet. It was that kind of stinky though, rather than like, perfume stinky. We'd just had to go through that as well from another shop, so I'm pretty sure of it. :/)

Also did chooks! We do like chooks having a clean coop, yes! >: They got to spend some time out of their run, too, so they did some grass mowing for us XD;;;; And seemed to be very happy, in their clucky way.

Anyway now is time for naps, yes. Naps good!

The tree people came today, as planned, and now the dead tree is gone, yay! :D Turns out it WAS rotting from the inside, which is what I was worried about, so extremely glad Mama and I insisted it had to go.

I also got to the bottom of my small mending pile today! :O Now there's only big mending projects to go!!! (At least until I next do washing, I will NOT be surprised if I find more stuff with holes in it. Sigh.) I want to try and get my summer blanket repaired before it's, you know, summer again and I need to use it, so Mama and I are gonna go down to the sewing shop and see if they have any advice. Personally I'm pretty sure I can just sew stuff on top, but given the size of the blanket and the size of our sewing machine I'd have to do a lot of it by hand, so Mama's worries aren't stupid either. Hopefully the sewing shop has a BIG machine you can use - that would be the easiest option. But if not I'm sure they'll at least have a better idea of how feasible repairing it is...

Anyway Mama wants to go in the MORNING, of course, so I am. You know. Up too late as usual siiiigh. Oh well, we'll see how it goes...

I did washing today! Fuck the weather was glorious for it, until it was almost dark and started spitting. At which point I had to go rescue it hahahaha. Still! Washing done, that's my major thing for today orz orz orz. My life, it is so exciting.

Also finally finished off the switch case, yay! And did some mending. And, of course, lots of reading and some minecraft. Yes.

We're getting a dead tree removed on Wednesday, which will entail us having to take down bits of the chook run, and unsurprisingly Mama asked me to help with that. Explicitly in the morning, so of COURSE I'm up this late... ugh, brains, why are you like this. Why. (Do not get the morning obsession. Ugh. Afternoons are fine!!! Nothing wrong with afternoons, bleh.)

Very good floppy day today, yes!

Mostly I just read - finally finished a long fic I've been reading! - but also some minecraft. :3 And cleaned the bathroom but whatever, boring.

Mama's birthday tomorrow! We're going out for lunch, so I expect that'll be most of the day. It's a FANCY restaurant, after all. Close to home, at least, though! :D

Probably? better than yesterday, but still fairly out of it. Lots of napping required! I did manage to clean the chook coop though, even though I needed to lay down afterwards. Chooks do not deserve to live in squalor! But that was definitely all the energy I had for the day, bleh. Other than naps, just been reading, really.

I'mma go back to sleep now yes.
